In order
to try to organize a winter expedition in the Hessdalen valley, it is
neccessary to take into account the following constrains:
- Limited
hours to be spent performing observations (due to weather conditions)
- Weight
of instrumentations, which must be as light as possible
Herein is
presented a a Mini-transmitting Portable Station (MPS) to install in some
parts of the valley, in order to avoid spending lots of hours in the cold
weather by trying to carry out the observations during the freezing Norwegian
winter day/night. The system could transmit the signal coming from different
kind of sensors (cameras, VLF receivers).
